2027 tax deadlines

The dates that matter for your 2026 return and your 2027 estimated payments, with the ones the IRS hasn't confirmed marked as expected.

Dates marked Expected come from the IRS's draft 2027 tax calendar (Publication 509) or the weekend-and-holiday rule, and the IRS hasn't finalized them. Check again in January. The IRS can also postpone deadlines after a declared disaster, such as a hurricane.

Texas

Texas has no state personal income tax, so most Texans file only a federal return. If you lived or worked in another state during the year, that state may have its own deadline.
